Every year, windows and doors lose an estimated 40 billion dollars in thermal energy in the US. What we are looking for in a People Coordinator

As the People Coordinator, you will support the day-to-day business operations of the company. You will work closely with the founders, championing a great employee experience and ensuring that employees have the resources they need to be productive, while keeping the office space functioning and organized.

This role is responsible for creating and maintaining company policies, communicating with both internal and external stakeholders, and cultivating a great work environment. This role is ideally suited to someone who loves startups, impactful & sustainable technology, and working with a team passionate about the company mission.

You thrive in a small team environment where you have autonomy over your day-to-day work. Responsibilities of this position include:

• Oversee onboarding of new employees [prepare documents, training plan followed, meetings scheduled, equipment provisioned, etc.]
• Build, improve, review, recommend, and launch new policies and procedures related to business operations and employee experience in a startup environment
• Perform HR functions including running payroll and tracking timesheets
• Support the team’s inclusion, diversity, and equity goals through involvement in recruiting, onboarding, and company events (such as company-wide meetings)
• Responsible for maintaining contact database and supporting external communication (e.g. investor updates, newsletters, etc.)

• Excellent time management skills and an attention to detail
• Ability to work from AeroShield's Waltham, MA facility 3+ days per week
• Prior experience in office management, grant administration, marketing & communications, or startups
• Ability to handle confidential and proprietary information and sensitive matters with discretion and a high level of professional judgement.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated interest in DEI (diversity, equity, inclusion), people and culture, and cleantech
• Experience developing / recommending benefits plans, administering payroll, and onboarding new employees is preferred but not necessary
