Position summary
We’re seeking a Commercialization Advisor with deep expertise in the animal nutrition sector to help translate Anthology’s fungal biomanufacturing technology into market traction. This advisor will guide go-to-market strategy, pricing, product positioning, and partnership development for functional proteins used in feed, milk replacer, and pet nutrition applications.
This is a strategic advisory role ideal for a senior commercial leader who has successfully launched and scaled nutritional ingredients or bioactive compounds in the animal feed industry.
Responsibilities
Advise on commercial strategy, market entry, and adoption pathways for fungal-derived functional proteins in livestock and pet nutrition.
Support techno-economic and pricing models for feed-grade and specialty bioactive protein applications.
Identify and introduce potential customers and partners, including integrators, premix producers, and global feed manufacturers, and credible distributors.
Provide input on partnership structures (e.g., joint development, supply, licensing) and value-chain integration.
Guide regulatory and product registration strategy for animal feed markets (U.S., EU, and Asia).
Mentor Anthology’s business team on customer discovery, product positioning, and commercial readiness.
Ideal Profile
10+ years of leadership in animal nutrition, feed additives, or functional ingredient commercialization.
Strong network across feed manufacturers, premix companies, and integrator systems.
Proven track record in scaling novel nutritional or functional ingredient technologies to market.
Deep understanding of feed economics, COGS dynamics, and value capture for performance-enhancing ingredients.
Ability to bridge science and market - translating technical innovation into economic and performance outcomes.
Experience with growth-stage startups or joint-development partnerships preferred.
Compensation
Retainer-based, depending on engagement. Equity.
