Position Summary

We are searching for a mission-driven engineer to own and lead Antora’s Reliability efforts. As a Senior or Staff Reliability Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring that Antora’s cutting-edge thermal battery meets high standards of performance and reliability for safe and successful deployment at customer sites. You will establish and champion the tools, processes, and organizational structure needed to scale reliability efforts from prototype through production and field deployment.

You will collaborate closely with hardware, software, systems, and operations teams, as well as with external partners. Your leadership will directly impact Antora’s ability to deliver cost-effective, zero-carbon industrial heat and power at scale.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Work directly with Antora’s design (mechanical / controls / electrical), testing, and field teams to ticket and resolve product reliability issues
  • Be the champion for continuous reliability improvement across engineering teams via tools such as FMEA, HAZOP, and PHA and consistent communication with broader team
  • Support root cause failure analyses - work closely with internal team as well as vendors, consultants, and outside labs to systematically determine failures and work with design team to reduce the chance of future failures
  • Develop verification and validation plans with design, testing, MFG, and field teams

Key Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Physical Science field, 6+ years relevant experience (power generation, aerospace, propulsion, etc.)
  • Ability to work across multiple engineering teams, lead with influence
  • First principles engineering approach to root-causing and engineering assessments
  • Strong organizational and written/verbal communication skills
  • Prior experience improving reliability on new hardware products, particularly in a startup environment

Additional Qualifications

  • Experience driving continuous reliability improvements through product development cycles focused on cost reduction, manufacturability, and production scale-up
  • Masters/PhD in a technical field

Work Location: Onsite - San Jose, CA

Salary Range: $154,000 USD - $210,000 USD

Salary Basis: Annual

The actual salary offered will be within the posted range and determined based on several factors including but not limited to a candidate's experiences, credentials and expertise, as they pertain to the position's requirements.
