The Warehouse Associate will report to the Warehouse Supervisor and will assist in all aspects of Cuberg’s shipping, receiving, inventory control, stocking, warehouse housekeeping, etc. Ideal candidates have prior direct experience with shipping/receiving, specifically with dangerous goods, thrive in a small, lean environment, and can think quickly on their feet to find both short and long-term solutions.

The company was acquired in 2021 by Northvolt, a global supplier of sustainable, high-quality battery cells and systems. As Northvolt's Advanced Technology Center operating in Silicon Valley, Cuberg is developing and commercializing lithium metal batteries, building an innovation ecosystem around lithium-ion technology, and leveraging Northvolt's state-of-the-art manufacturing capabilities to rapidly scale up production of advanced batteries.
- HS Diploma or equivalent and basic math skills.
- 1-3 years of related warehouse experience within the consistent areas of materials handling, shipping and receiving, distribution, and operations.
- Understands and has direct prior experience with proper shipping procedures for transportation of dangerous goods and International shipments.
- FedEx and UPS shipping experience required.
- Forklift certification preferable.
- Able to lift up to 45 lbs.
- Able to handle stressful situations in a calm and collected manner, bringing solutions to the table.
- Able to perform well with shifting priorities to meet deadlines.
- Able to collaborate and work well within a team environment with willingness to motivate and support others.
- Strong verbal and written interpersonal and communication skills with cross-functional teams.
- Computer Skills: Microsoft Excel, Word, FedEx Ship Manager and UPS Worldship software.
- Pluses: Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) Dropbox
Responsibilities
- Assemble outgoing packages, containers, and crates; pack goods to be shipped (includes lithium metal batteries, raw materials, chemicals, etc.) and track arrival at destination.
- Determine methods of shipment (air, sea, freight, etc.) and understand necessary requirements to prepare the appropriate documentation for both international and domestic shipments.
- Complete daily inbound receiving of product and packages and notify recipients accordingly.
- Inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices, POs, and ensure proper documentation is received.
- Review incoming goods for defects and reject damaged articles (RMAs).
- Improve and maintain internal record-keeping systems.
- Handle internal outgoing shipping requests from multiple departments.
- Follow and write warehouse process procedures.
- Track inventory and stock the warehouse when items are running low.
- Coordinate with external suppliers and carriers, escalating issues when needed.
- Propose and work on shipping and packaging improvements as we scale.
- May operate forklift, pallet jack, hand truck, or other equipment to load, unload, transport, and store goods.

- Base pay is determined by level + years' of relevant experience
The San Fransisco / Bay Area base salary range for this full-time position is $18/hr - $55/ + equity + benefits.
