Description
The Recruiter will be responsible for identifying, attracting, and hiring top talent to support Fervo’s business objectives. This position will work closely with hiring managers and internal stakeholders to understand their staffing needs and develop recruitment strategies to fill open positions efficiently and effectively. This role requires a proactive and strategic approach to sourcing candidates, as well as strong interpersonal skills to engage with potential hires. This position will report to the Talent Acquisition Manager.
Responsibilties
- Talent Acquisition: Develop and execute recruitment strategies to attract qualified candidates for various positions, including technical, administrative, and leadership roles. Utilize various sourcing methods, such as job boards, social media, networking events, and employee referrals to find and attract potential candidates. Build and maintain a diverse pipeline of qualified candidates to fill current and future openings.
- Candidate Screening & Interviewing: Review resumes and applications to identify suitable candidates; Conduct initial phone screenings to assess candidate qualifications, experience, and cultural fit; schedule and coordinate interviews with hiring managers and interview panels.
- Collaboration & Communication: Partner with hiring managers to understand job requirements and develop comprehensive job descriptions. Provide guidance and support to hiring managers throughout the recruitment process, including interview techniques and candidate evaluations. Maintain regular communication with candidates, providing updates on their application status and ensuring a positive candidate experience.
- Offer Management & Onboarding: Support the People Operations group in extending job offers and negotiate terms of employment with selected candidates. Coordinate the onboarding process for new hires to ensure a smooth transition for new employees into the organization.
- Market Research & Analysis: Stay informed about industry trends, salary benchmarks, and competitor hiring practices. Analyze recruitment metrices and report on the effectiveness of recruiting strategies and processes.
- Talent Pipeline: Represent Fervo at career and internship fairs, collaborate with diverse professional groups, and participate in other relevant networking opportunities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- 1+ years’ experience in recruitment, preferably within the energy industry or a related field
- Experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and HRIS platforms
- Fundamental understanding of full-cycle recruiting, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple recruitment processes simultaneously
- Excellent Communication Skills: Both written and verbal communication skills are essential; a customer service mindset
- Proficiency in Office Software: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Problem-Solving Skills: The ability to anticipate needs, identify issues, and come up with effective solutions; must be proactive and resourceful, often manage unexpected challenges
- Ability to work onsite in downtown Houston 3 days per week
Location
Fervo Energy is headquartered in Houston, TX. This position will be eligible for some hybrid work flexibility, but regular in-office presence at the Houston office will be required. Minimal travel is required for this position.
