Qunnect Inc, a dynamic startup company in the Brooklyn Navy Yard (Brooklyn, NY), is seeking a CFO to join our team. We are a venture-backed startup innovating first-in-class hardware to transform the existing telecommunications infrastructure into quantum-secure networks. As CFO, you will play a crucial role in managing the financial aspects of the company and will work closely with the leadership team to achieve our next stages of growth. Job Description: As the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), you will have a key role in managing the financial aspects of our company. Your responsibilities will include:
- Financial Planning and Strategy: Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company's goals and vision. Collaborate with the leadership team to drive financial decision-making and long-term planning.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Prepare and oversee the budgeting process, including forecasting revenues and expenses, monitoring variances, and providing financial analysis to support decision-making.
- Financial Reporting: Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Communicate financial performance to the leadership team and stakeholders.
- Cash Flow Management: Optimize cash flow, monitor working capital, and implement effective cash management strategies. Identify opportunities for cost reduction and revenue optimization.
- Funding and Investment Management: Lead efforts in securing funding, including equity investments, grants, and strategic partnerships. Evaluate investment opportunities and manage investor relations.
- Risk Management: Identify and assess financial risks, develop risk mitigation strategies, and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Compliance and Governance: Ensure compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards, and tax requirements. Oversee financial audits and maintain relationships with external auditors.
Requirements:
- Proven experience (typically 3+ years) in financial management, preferably in a startup or high-growth environment. • Strong understanding of financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Experience in securing funding, managing investor relations, and optimizing cash flow.
- Solid knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and tax compliance.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with the leadership team, stakeholders, and potential investors.
- Ability to think strategically and make data-driven financial decisions. • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.

Pay: $175,000.00 - $225,000 per year
