Apparel Performance Marketing Manager, Part-Time (USA)
Marketing & Communications
USD 60-75 / hour + Equity
Company Description
Supercarb is building a new generation of performance apparel powered by advanced material science. Following the successful launch of our first consumer product, the Chalk Up Tee, we’re looking for a part-time Performance Marketing Manager to help us turn early traction into a scalable consumer brand.
This is a role for someone who loves the intersection of performance marketing, consumer psychology, creative strategy, and apparel. You should be equally comfortable analyzing CAC and ROAS, identifying why a funnel is underperforming, and working with designers to develop the next creative concept.
What you’ll own
• Run and optimize paid acquisition across Meta, Google, Reddit, TikTok, and emerging channels
• Identify which Supercarb product benefits and value propositions resonate most strongly with consumers
• Discover the audiences, communities, and customer segments where our products have the strongest product-market fit
• Work closely with design and creative teams to develop ads, landing-page concepts, messaging, and content that convert
• Build a disciplined testing engine across creative, copy, audiences, offers, landing pages, and channels
• Track and improve key growth metrics including CAC, CPC, CTR, CVR, ROAS, AOV, LTV, and retention
• Diagnose where the customer funnel is breaking and develop experiments to improve conversion
• Help turn early sales into a repeatable and scalable customer acquisition engine
• Manage our consumer-facing social channels and develop strategies to increase engagement, community, and organic growth
• Translate customer and campaign insights back into product positioning, creative strategy, and future launches
Who we’re looking for
• Strong hands-on experience managing performance marketing campaigns for apparel, activewear, outdoor, consumer, or DTC brands.
• Prior experience helping scale an early-stage DTC brand, ideally from early traction to $1M+ in annual revenue.
• Deep understanding of performance marketing economics and metrics, including CAC, LTV, ROAS, CTR, CPC, conversion rate, and attribution
• Strong creative instincts and an ability to understand why certain messaging, visuals, hooks, and formats outperform others
• Experience building and optimizing full-funnel customer acquisition strategies
• Comfortable operating in an early-stage environment where you will both develop the strategy and execute it
You'd be an ideal teammate if you are:
• Hungry for growth, both personally and for the business
• Hands-on and scrappy, willing to execute rather than simply manage
• Relentless and determined, with the ability to push through setbacks and keep finding a path forward
• High agency with a strong sense of ownership, you see a problem and take responsibility for solving it
• Extremely self-driven, you do not need constant direction or supervision
• Comfortable navigating ambiguity, imperfect information, and limited data
• Data-driven, but able to make intelligent decisions when the data is incomplete
• Product obsessed, deeply curious about why customers love a product, why they do not, and how to make it better
• Motivated by a deep desire to win, learn, and continuously improve
• Thoughtful and passionate, with strong judgment and attention to detail
• Earth-centric, excited by building products and companies that can leave the planet better than we found it
• Resilient, adaptable, and capable of turning setbacks into the next experiment
Bonus points
• Experience scaling an apparel, climbing, outdoor, activewear, or technical performance brand
• Experience with Kickstarter or taking a successfully crowdfunded product into broader DTC growth
• Experience building communities through Instagram, TikTok, Reddit, creators, ambassadors, and organic social
• Genuine interest in apparel, performance materials, sustainability, climbing, or outdoor culture
About Supercarb
Supercarb is a materials technology company developing high-performance fibers and textiles from seaweed and agricultural waste. Our technology is designed to deliver performance properties such as moisture management, odor control, antistatic performance, and inherent flame resistance while reducing the environmental footprint of conventional textiles.
We recently launched our first consumer product, the Chalk Up Tee, to demonstrate what our material technology can enable in performance apparel. Now we want to build on that momentum.
Role: Part-Time
Location: USA
Focus: Performance Marketing + Growth + Social
Compensation: $60–$75/hour, depending on experience, for approximately 15–20 hours per week. Strong performers will have the opportunity to transition into a full-time role, with performance-based compensation tied to revenue growth and equity eligibility after the first three months.
If you’ve helped build and scale an apparel or consumer brand and love figuring out what makes a product resonate, who it resonates with, and how to turn that insight into growth, we’d love to hear from you.
Please reach out with a short introduction, relevant brands you’ve worked with, examples of campaigns you’ve scaled, and the results you achieved.
